Digital Drop

Created in July 2011, out of a love for music and randomness Digital Drop is thee epitome of my musical taste. Although most posts pertain to Hip-Hop and Rap, occasionally there are different genres featured. I am a fan of music as a whole no matter what genre. I listen to every track on the blog, if I personally don't like it, you might not see it here. That being said I do try to give new artist and groups some shine on the blog. I'm just like you trying to make it in the music business. I appreciate the visit and hope that you will continue to check out Digital Drop.

Download|Stream: The Hood Internet - Pesobedear (A$AP Rocky x Purity Ring)

With their latest creation, The Hood Internet takes A$AP Rocky’s hit Peso and Purity Ring’s latest single Obedear to create Pesobedear. With Rocky’s slow trill sound and Purity Ring’s high energy electro vibe you’d think this combination wouldn’t work. However, the Chicago duo find a perfect balance between Rocky’s lyrics and the electro synths of Purity Ring to make a fusion of indie electro and hip-hop with a unique sound all to it’s own.

A$AP Rocky released visuals earlier today for his lead single Goldie off his upcoming debut album Long.Live.A$AP. One of few videos to come out in recent years that I actually like, I love the way this was shot. In the video we find Rocky and crew in Paris cruising around the Eiffel Tower, mobbing around the city, and living that lavish A$AP lifestyle that is always represented in their videos.

Sidenote: This is what Niggas In Paris should have been, honestly.

A$AP Rocky and the Mob (literally) get into with some idiots in the crowd during his final show at SXSW. Rocky tried to diffuse the situation and warn them that shit was about to get real. After some words exchange and more thrown beer Rocky and the Mob jumped in the crowd to handle the “situation”.

Rocky peforms his hit Purple Swag live at the mtvU Woodie Awards, would’ve been better if the crowd wasn’t so dead. Gotta hate it when mostly the media is in the crowd, no true fans. Either way, swag.

For those who don’t know, A$AP Rocky was named after the God Emcee Rakim. Story goes one day in Harlem Rocky’s mother saw Rakim and got him to sign Rocky’s diaper. Angie Martinez set up the meeting between the fellow New Yorkers. Anyway peep the video it’s pretty cool to see Rocky and his mother’s reaction.
